KOTA KINABALU: Kerajaan negeri komited memperkukuh penyampaian infrastruktur dengan  pelancaran rasmi Koridor Utiliti Sabah (KUS), inisiatif strategik yang bakal menjadi pemangkin  utama pembangunan sistemik di Sabah. 

Ketua Menteri, Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor berkata, penubuhan KUS bukan  sekadar pengenalan sebuah entiti baharu tetapi mencerminkan kesungguhan kerajaan negeri  dalam mempercepatkan pembangunan, menyelaras utiliti, dan menarik pelaburan baharu ke  negeri ini. 

“KUS diberi mandat sebagai Agensi Sehenti bagi mempercepatkan urusan permit kerja utiliti  dan membangunkan pangkalan data aset utiliti negeri secara menyeluruh,” katanya pada Majlis  Pelancaran KUS di Hotel Marriott pada Jumaat. 

Teks ucapan beliau dibacakan oleh Pembantu Menteri kepada Ketua Menteri, Datuk Abidin  Madingkir. 

Menurutnya, langkah ini selaras dengan Pelan Hala Tuju Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) yang  menekankan pembangunan menyeluruh dan penyampaian perkhidmatan yang efisien, telus  serta berorientasikan masa hadapan. 

Katanya, penggunaan teknologi digital dan peta utiliti bersepadu melalui KUS, mampu  mempercepat kelulusan projek, mengurangkan pertindihan kerja, serta meningkatkan  keselamatan kerja lapangan. 

Hajiji berkata, pendekatan ini memberi impak besar bukan sahaja kepada kelancaran  pelaksanaan projek kerajaan dan swasta, tetapi juga menyokong agenda pendigitalan negeri,  daya saing pelaburan dan pembangunan bandar pintar. 

“Inilah contoh sinergi sektor awam-swasta yang mampu melahirkan penyelesaian berimpak  tinggi untuk rakyat,” katanya. 

Beliau turut menekankan bahawa penyelarasan proses utiliti akan membuka lebih banyak  kawasan baharu untuk pembangunan, sekali gus merangsang kegiatan ekonomi dan menjana  peluang pekerjaan, khususnya di kawasan luar bandar. 

“Projek seperti ini akan memperkukuh logistik industri dan memperluas capaian bekalan asas  seperti elektrik, air dan telekomunikasi kepada masyarakat luar bandar,” katanya. 

Hajiji turut menyeru seluruh warga kerja KUSSB dan Qhazanah Sabah Berhad agar  meneruskan usaha dengan penuh profesionalisme dan komitmen tinggi demi memastikan  kemudahan ini benar-benar membawa manfaat kepada rakyat.

Kita telah meletakkan asas kukuh. Kini tiba masanya untuk melaksanakannya dengan berani  dan bersungguh-sungguh,” ujarnya.

KOTA KINABALU: The State Government is committed to strengthening infrastructure  delivery with the official launch of the Sabah Utility Corridor (KUS), a strategic initiative  that will serve as a key catalyst for systemic development in Sabah. 

Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor said the establishment of KUS  is not just an introduction of a new entity but reflects the State Government's  determination to accelerate development, coordinate utilities and attract new  investments to the state. 

“KUS is mandated to be a One-Stop Agency to expedite utility work permit processes  and comprehensively develop the state's utility asset database,” he said at the KUS  official launch at the Marriott Hotel on Friday. 

His speech was delivered by the Assistant Minister to the Chief Minister, Datuk Abidin  Madingkir. 

The Chief Minister said this aligns with the Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) roadmap, which  emphasises comprehensive development and the delivery of efficient, transparent, and  future-oriented services. 

He said the use of digital technology and integrated utility maps through KUS can  expedite project approvals, reduce overlapping work, and enhance fieldwork safety. 

Hajiji stated that this approach will give a significant impact not only on the smooth  implementation of government and private projects but also supports the state's  digitalisation agenda, investment competitiveness, and smart city development. 

“This is an example of public-private sector synergy that can produce high-impact  solutions for the people,” he said. 

He also emphasised that the coordination of utility processes will open up more new  areas for development, thereby stimulating economic activity and generating job  opportunities, particularly in the rural areas. 

"Projects like this will strengthen industrial logistics and expand access to essential  supplies such as electricity, water, and telecommunications to rural communities," he  said.

Hajiji also called on all employees of KUSSB and Qhazanah Sabah Berhad to continue  their efforts with professionalism, and commitment to ensure that this facility truly  benefits the people. 

"We have laid a solid foundation. Now is the time to implement it boldly and earnestly,"  he stated.
