Management and communications need innovation

KOTA KINABALU: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor said  communication is becoming more instantaneous and management practices are being  redefined in today's interconnected world.

With technology rapidly advancing this has posed both challenges and opportunities, he  added.

“It will allow us to consider how we can break down silos, embrace the convergence of  ideas, and work collectively to drive meaningful change in the business world and  beyond,” he said at the Management and Communications International Conference  networking dinner at Horizon Hotel here tonight.

He said, the theme of the 4th Management And Communications International  Conference, “Innovating Together: The Convergence of Management, Communication,  and the Digital Transformation," was apt as it addresses the challenges and  opportunities in the management and communication fields.

His speech was delivered by Assistant Minister to the Chief Minister Datuk Abidin  Madingkir.

He said the International Conference on Management and Communication (ICMC),  organised by the Universiti Utara Malaysia Kuala Lumpur (UUM KL), has established  itself as a significant academic event in communication and management.

“As one of the key conferences held by UUM, it reflects the university’s commitment to  advancing research, fostering intellectual discourse, and providing a platform for  scholars, practitioners, and industry leaders to come together and discuss critical issues  related to communication and management in the global context.

“The Sabah State Government is pleased to co-organise this conference. I hope you will  take this opportunity not only to learn but to share and collaborate through the  connections and networking,” he said.
