TUARAN: SM Lok Yuk Kota Kinabalu and SK Sembulan emerged champions of the Seni Warisan  Juara Limbai 2024 competition at the Rumpun Bajau Sama Cultural Centre in Kampung  Lok Batik, here last night. 

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor presented the prizes to the  winners during the event, which was recorded live by RTM. 

SM Lok Yuk Kota Kinabalu and SK Sembulan each bagged RM7,000 cash, a trophy and certificate  for winning in the secondary school and primary school category, respectively. 

The Chief Minister also presented the prizes to the best male and female dancer in both  categories. 

The second edition of the Seni Warisan Juara Limbai competition was jointly-organised  by the State Government and RTM Sabah with support from strategic partners Sabah  Education Department, Sabah Cultural Board, Rumpun Bajau Sama Sabah Association  and AJ Productions. 

According to Sabah Broadcast Director, Salmah Hashim, the live recording will be aired  in TV2 at 9pm on July 20.
